Terms and Conditions

  1. Under the Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd (“Mastercard”) Mastercard Bonus Rebate “Program”, rebates will be awarded based on spend made by Mastercard Credit and Debit cardholders with their Mastercard Consumer World and Mastercard Consumer World Elite Credit and Debit cards which are eligible (“Cardholders”) subject to these ”Terms and Conditions”.


Program Period


  1. This Program is valid from 15 July 2024 (0000hrs, GMT+8) to 31 December 2024 (Time 2359hrs GMT+8), both dates inclusive (“Program Period”).

Eligibility


  1. The Program is open to all Cardholders having the Mastercard Consumer World and Mastercard Consumer World Elite Credit and Debit cards issued in Malaysia (“Eligible Card”, and each cardholder being an “Eligible Cardholder”). By participating in the Program, the Eligible Cardholder agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Promotion Mechanics and Bonus Rebate


  1. Registration onto Program: To participate in this Program, an Eligible Cardholder must register the Eligible Card on Mastercard’s platform at https://redemption.mastercard.com. A registered Eligible Card enrolled onto the Program is a “Participating Card”.


  1. Criterion: To be entitled to the Bonus Rebate of RM25 (“Bonus Rebate”), during the Program Period, a Participating Card must be saved on file of a participating merchant and the Cardholder must make 5 or more transactions across any participating Merchant (“Participating Merchants”) using a Participating Card (“Qualifying Criterion”). Participating Cards which meet the Qualifying Criterion become “Qualifying Cards” and subject to these Terms and Conditions, a Qualifying Cardholder is qualified to receive the Bonus Rebate for the Qualifying Card.


  • Participating Merchants: Netflix, Disney+, Spotify and Facebook
  • Minimum number of transactions across Eligible Merchants during the Period to qualify for the Bonus Rebate (“Qualifying Transaction”): 5
  • Bonus Rebate: RM25


  1. Each Qualifying Card can earn a RM25 Bonus Rebate. There will be no pro rating of rebates and any Participating Card that does not meet the minimum number of qualifying transactions shall not be qualified for a Bonus Rebate or any part thereof.


  1. Each Eligible Card can only be registered one time during the Program Period.


  1. Notwithstanding that a card may otherwise be a Qualifying Card, the Bonus Rebate is limited to the first 18,000 Qualifying Cards.


  1. The Bonus Rebate will be credited to the Qualifying Card’s account within 10 days of qualification.


Program Registration

  1. The registration is program specific and the registration of one program does not transfer or include the registration of any other program or promotion on the platform. Please note that registration and participation is based on the registration of an Eligible Card and not a cardholder’s account. A platform user may register up to 5 eligible cards on Mastercard’s platform.


  1. An acknowledgement email will be sent to the Eligible Cardholder who has successfully registered an Eligible Card. Please note that while this email confirms official enrollment in the program, it does not constitute as a confirmation of the award of the Bonus Rebate.


  1. Mastercard shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for any delay or failure caused in the sending or receiving of any emails or mobile or in-application messages, or any ineligibility to participate in the Program resulting from the same. Cardholders shall be solely responsible for all costs associated with the registration including any data services and telecom provider cost.


  1. Spend tracking for the Bonus Rebate will commence only after successful registration for the Period. A transaction made prior to registration will not be counted a Qualifying Transaction.


Excluded Transactions


  1. Mastercard’s decision on all matters relating to the Program, including determination of whether a transaction qualifies as Qualifying Transaction, will be at its discretion and will be final. Accordingly, Mastercard reserves the right to reverse or cancel any Bonus Rebate already sent at its discretion, exercised reasonably, in respect of any cancelled, disputed, refunded Qualifying Transaction or where there has been a wrongful fulfillment of Bonus Rebate for Participating or Qualifying Cards, including debiting the value of the Bonus Rebate from the Card account.


  1. If a Participating Card is replaced for whatever reason during a Campaign, the Qualifying Cardholder will have to re-register on the Platform with the replacement card if the card number differs to the originally registered card. Any otherwise qualifying transactions will not be carried over or accounted for on the new card registration.


General Terms and Conditions


  1. By participating in the Promotion, the Qualifying Cardholders are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions herein. Mastercard reserves the right and discretion to disqualify and/or reject any Qualifying Cardholder that it determines or reasonably suspects to be tampering with the process or the operation of the Promotion, or to be acting in breach of the Terms and Conditions herein.


  1. Qualifying Transactions used for this Program will not impact other promotions organized by Issuer.


  1. The Bonus Rebate is not exchangeable for cash, credit or other goods and services and are non-transferable. Payment can only be made into the Qualifying Card account.


  1. The Bonus Rebate may be calculated and paid out by Mastercard in a currency other than the base currency of the Card. Mastercard shall not be responsible for any fee or charge including foreign currency conversion or processing fee charged by the Card issuer. Mastercard is not responsible for any failed rebate transactions outside its control, including due to any account settings which may block foreign currency transaction acceptance and rebates.


  1. Mastercard shall not be held liable in relation to the Bonus Rebate offered under the Program. The Bonus Rebate offered by Mastercard is offered as a gift and not for good consideration.


  1. In case of dispute arising from or relating to the Program (including any dispute as to Mastercard’s determination of the eligibility, participation and/or qualification of any card to the Bonus Rebate), the decision of Mastercard shall be final, conclusive and binding.


  1. It is the Cardholder’s sole responsibility to ensure that it has provided correct and complete information in registering for the Program. Mastercard shall not be responsible for any incomplete or incorrect registration and details which may cause the invalidation, disqualification, or non-acceptance of registration for the Program.


  1. Mastercard may, at its discretion, adjust, delay, or terminate this Program, its contents, and/or these terms and conditions without prior notice.


  1. If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected or impaired in any way. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


  1. The cardholder is advised to retain all original sales slips or official payment records of the transactions. In the event of a dispute, Mastercard reserves the right to request submission of these documents in support of the claimed transaction. Any determination made by Mastercard is final. Mastercard may retain these documents for further investigation and resolution.


  1. Mastercard does not provide confirmation/clarification/checking services to determine if an individual transaction is eligible.
